A LIFE'S DREAM

From 1995 to 1998 I worked for a teen center as a volunteer advisor and found my calling.  I learned quickly that I was destine to mentor teens and teach them how to become stronger, more confident, inclusive, kind, and capable leaders. Every job I had since those early-days in the mid-90's centered on teen empowerment and education.

The day camp industry is where I spent a majority of my professional career.  One of my proudest accomplishments was when I became the founding executive director of a start-up camp.  It was at this new camp that I would blend together two of my greatest passions and skills:  entrepreneurial-business skills and a drive to unite teens and train tomorrow's leaders. In this role, my team and I built over 50 camp programs, grew the program to over 1100-campers served  per week and had over 300 team members from all over the world.

Camp is a very special place for children, teens and staff alike. The Teen Leader Academy staff all share a long history of attending and managing summer camps.  We bring our love for camp, team building, ice-breaking, inclusion, acceptance, empowerment and hands-on-learning to our programs at Teen Leader Academy.  

As the proud father of five children, four of whom are teenagers now, I have always  instilled in them an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong work ethic and the importance of being kind, respectful and empathetic. All of my business decisions, from everyone I hire to every program I design, has my children in mind.  

Now it is time to take our love of camp and infuse it into an online learning platform.  We have unlocked a style of online engagement and blended it with teen leadership training.  The net results are teens who want to learn new skills that will enhance the future careers of their choosing. 

We developed a process, with its roots in camp that is fun and uniting.  We believe that now, more than ever, our teens need programs that unite, teach kindness and can strengthen one's personal passions.  We are here to help you and your family get stronger and stay connected.  We invite you to explore all of the programs of Teen Leader Academy.
